TARGET AUDIENCE

Community Physicians, Family Physicians, General Practitioners, Internists, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Residents, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in Training Programs. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES 

By attending this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • Apply practical approaches to diagnosing Parkinson’s disease and differentiating it from related conditions. 
  • Recognize the breadth of symptoms and clinical course of Parkinson’s disease. 
  • Apply practical approaches to the pharmacological management of motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. 
  • Describe the role of non-pharmacological measures such as exercise in the management of Parkinson’s disease. 
  • Describe the challenges of advanced Parkinson’s disease. 
  • Describe the role of allied health care in the management of Parkinson’s disease.
