TARGET AUDIENCE

Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Radiologist, Pathologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Radiation Therapists, Thoracic Surgeons, Respirologists, Nurses, and Residents.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By attending this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the role of immunotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer.

  • Examine approaches to management of esophageal cancer between centres.

  • Examine the supportive care (including nutrition and hydration) in management of thoracic cancer.

  • Acquire an increased awareness of symptom management and palliative care options in management of advanced and end stage of lung cancer.

  • Discuss clinical trials and patient navigation in thoracic cancer care.

  • Explore public health issues in thoracic cancer. 

  • Discuss management in stage III lung cancer post chemoradiation and immunotherapy.
