TARGET AUDIENCE 

Internists, Hospitalists, Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, Emergency Physicians, Pharmacists, Wound Care Nurses, Residents and Medical Students.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES 

By the end of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Apply evolving evidence and recommendations in Infectious Diseases including areas such as Vaccines, Hepatitis C and Antimicrobial duration of therapy.

  • Describe the recommended management for the prophylaxis and treatment of a variety of common Infectious Diseases in various populations and situations.

  • Identify suitable resources to address clinical questions related to Infectious Diseases and refer effectively.

  • Apply and advise regarding appropriate infection control practices.
