LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this learning activity the learners will be able to:

• Recognize the role of the Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and Non-Neurologist in the integral management of people with common neurological problems.
• Use a case-based approach to understand the clinical assessment, including a focused history and neurological examination, of common neurological presentations.
• Use a case-based approach to identify the next steps including diagnostic evaluation to understand the causes of common neurological presentations.
• Recognize when a referral to a neurologist is needed with various neurological presentations.
