PROVIDING 2SLGBTQIA+ HEALTH CARE: A PANEL DISCUSSION

This panel style webinar will explore the topic of providing safe and equitable health care for transgender and gender diverse people. Expert panelists will provide insight on how to promote safety and wellness in health care and examine the role of health professionals in providing safe care. Participants will learn strategies to bring quality care to 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and how to create inclusive environments within their clinical practice.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Describe health disparities facing 2SLGBTQIA+ populations
  • Explain 2SLGBTQIA+ definitions and concepts
  • Identify concrete ways in which health care providers can support 2SLGBTQIA+ patients and reduce barriers to health care
  • Describe how to affirm the sexual and gender identities of all individuals in the learning environments and clinical settings (students, patients, faculty, and staff)
